Pallet Racking

Back to Back Pallet Racking

The Back to Back pallet racking is the most common form of pallet storage, very cost-effective, providing high capacity storage and easy access to all pallets, with the use of conventional forklift trucks.
It is ideal for businesses that have many different products distributed to a lot of different points and/or the products are handled in different storage units.

Back to Back layout is simple to install, infinitely adjustable and easy to customise.
The pallet racking system is adaptable to your particular requirements and can be supplied in heights from 1.5 to over 30m. The width and depth of the system depend on the format of the pallets. Bay load capacity can reach up to 30 tons.

Narrow Aisle High Bay Racking

Narrow aisle racking, as the name suggests, makes optimal use of floor area and roof height, resulting in greater storage density.

The Narrow Aisle pallet racking is an option that provides space saving, maximum storage capacity, fast accessibility to every pallet and quick order picking straight from the racking.

The main advantage of narrow-aisle pallet racking is the combination of fast order picking and the best possible use of space. This construction is used in a wide variety of industries where warehousing space is limited. The variable height and depth of the shelving and the height adjustable supporting beams ensure maximum flexibility. Direct access to every pallet is achieved and the system is serviced by special forklift trucks with elevating or static operator’s cabins.

Drive In

The Drive-in system is a pallet storage format that is based on the LIFO (Last In-First Out) principle.

It is mainly used for storing large quantities of goods of the same kind. Pallets of the same code are stored in depth and height.

Drive-In systems are consisting of internal pallet loading corridors with supporting beams.

The forklift truck enters into the aisles carrying the load elevated above the final loading level. The pallets are placed on the carrier beams from the depth to the inlet and from floor to ceiling. Specific self-centering rails help to put the pallets in place safely and quickly, eliminating the time-consuming alignment. The rails and the arms (bearing beams) are readily adapted to the size of the pallet.

The unloading of the shelf is made from top to bottom and front to depth of the ramp. Ground rails can facilitate manoeuvering forklift, helping the movement and minimizing the possibility of accidents.

The design of the system depends on the pallet type, size and weight.
Drive-in racks allow maximum storage density with the use of conventional forklifts.
Compared to conventional storage system Drive-in saves space up to 90% as the number of working aisles is reduced to a minimum and the space is ideally used.

Push Back System

Ideal storage system for similar products.

The system is based on the LIFO (Last in-First Out) principle.

The pallets are stored on a roller conveyor with an inclination and the forklift moves in a single working aisle, without having to enter the storage tunnel. This ensures quick “in-out” movement without the need for specialized lifting machinery.
During loading, the forklift truck pushes the pallet against the inclination of the roller track into a channel. During unloading, where the movement occurs closest to the corridor, the pallets on the rear move by gravity towards the front. The speed of pallets is controlled by break roller deceleration mechanisms which minimizes pallets pressure.

Advantages

  • High degree of exploitation of storage area, as there is only one working runway.
  • Pallets are loaded and unloaded at the front of the system.
  • Different codes can be stored in height of the system.

Live Storage System

The Live Storage system enables fast throughput and automatic stock rotation for businesses that have large batches of the same products.
Pallets are fed and retrieved from opposite sides. Live Storage can be used as buffer storage in staging areas, production, goods reception and dispatch. Pallet accessibility based on FIFO (First In-First Out) principle.

Specially constructed lanes of gravity inclined tracks stacked side by side and on top of each other within a pallet rack framework forming a solid block of storage that is loaded from one end and unloaded at the other. A single batch of the same product is stored in each lane. Automatic rotation is provided. Rack utilisation is often at 90%.

High rate of rotation, fast access to goods and guaranteed FIFO application. Since no more than two lanes are needed, this option requires up to 60% less space than a conventional pallet stacking warehouse.

Features

  • FIFO guaranteed, ideal for products with shelf life or absolute rotation.
  • Secure and safe handling as the pallet truck does not enter the rack.
  • Wide range of pallet dimensions can be accommodated if taken into account at the design stage.

Carton Live Storage System

Racking for live picking is made up of slightly inclined platforms of wheels and rollers, which guarantee an optimal entry and exit of goods.

The goods are fed in and slide down by the force of gravity to the other end which leads to the exit aisle. The goods slide on roller lanes, which guarantee perfect product turnover, prevent interference in the replenishment of stock and increase the speed of order preparation.
